Hey 24 Hour Comic Readers, thanks for checking out my story. This is my first attempt at it, and it's pretty experimental for me, just wanted to do something different from my usual comedy shtick. I know that technically I should be doing 100 panels, but I was able to finish this comic in 63 panels and the other story I had in mind to attach to it is going to take more than 37 panels to do.

Anyway, hope you enjoy it, well, as best as you can for a story like this.

P.S. The murderer's name is Herb, in case you need a name for whatever reason.

Aw thank you! I might use this concept for an extended story, who knows. But I'm glad you liked it, thanks for reading! :)

Can I ask... WHY the dog was murdered?

He eats things. The "why" might be expanded on in a longform story, which may or may not happen. But he murders things and eats them.

Ok, other question - he eats thing because he is hungry, because he is a psycho or...?

Most people (or otherwise) eat when they're hungry! But like I said, the why exactly may be expanded on later in a long form story. I do like writing this character a lot, and I might come up with more stories involving him later.

I'm sorrryyyyy!! If it makes you feel any better, I've scarred many of my friends and acquaintances with this story. Wait, that means I'm hurting more people with this! Crap!

I'm intrigued by this character. He isn't human right? Eating a dog like this would require some tough teeth and a strong stomach.

Yeah, he is more monster than human. I'm glad you find him interesting! He's been fun to write and draw, I might roll more stories involving him out in the future, who knows.

I'm going to assume that Herb is going vegetarian now haha. Excllent job, it must've been hard to use a monochromatic pallet with all that detail in there.

Thank you! Working black-and-white was definitely a challenge.

The day Herb becomes a vegetarian is the day hell freezes over.

This was a really gorgeous comic. I actually think the B&W and sketchy look really added. Because it looked somewhat hasty, I felt like the speed was picked up and the suspense increased. I loved the mystery and noir feel to it. Felt like I was watching an Alfred Hitchcock Presents. :) Good work.

Ahhh you're too kind, thank you! (Being compared to Alfred Hitchcock and his works is just too much for me to comprehend ahhh)

Okay, I'm going to be completely honest. I thought the little boy was a little girl. I apologize, still a great comic. (You should continue.)

Wow this was beautiful.

Apart from all the violence and a gore and stuff. Obviously.

Normally this kind of thriller-noir-sketchy sort of thing isn't to my tastes but I really enjoyed reading this and if I was a movie producer I would definitely have it made into a movie. The storyboard style approach and black-and-white coloring really was well done and just aaaagh this was amazing.

Thank you : )

Yeah, this is definitely something out of the norm for me, I usually prefer a good comedy over thrillers, but I had such an itch to scratch to try this genre in particular. I'm so glad you liked it!

Oh my Gosh, this was so good! I just can’t believe how much you were able to convey in black-and white storyboards, using only simple lines. You are truly an outstanding artist… and writer. The story was gripping, not letting the tension fall for a single moment and turned out much differently than one could expect. I loved every single panel of it and I hope that one day you will tell us the story of the mysterious stranger.

I really, really, REALLY hope you’ll be able to continue the story. I’m just dying to find out more about the character. Is he a paranormal being? Or does his unusual behavior result from a psychical condition? Arrgh, those questions are killing me!
